Tualatin Valley Garden Club Hosts 54th Annual Plant Sale
Plant Sale Offers Fun and Information
Hillsboro, Oregon – The Tualatin Valley Garden Club will hold their 54th annual plant sale. The sale is set for Saturday only, April 29, 2017, at the Washington County Fair Complex’s east entrance at 34th and Cornell Road in Hillsboro. The sale is from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A great selection of vegetables, particularly tomatoes and herbs, are available for home gardens. A variety of landscape plants, such as annuals, perennials, shrubs, small trees, and natives are also for sale. In addition, the sale features garden related materials and specialty plants.
Numerous vendors will help customers on how to successfully grow vegetables, herbs, and enhance home landscapes.
Tualatin Valley Garden Club (TVGC) is local non-profit in Hillsboro, OR.
The garden club has interesting activities and instructive programs through out the year in all types of gardening.
Members volunteer in the community in several ways, whether it is helping to maintain the planter beds in downtown Hillsboro, cleaning up the rhododendron beds at the Lloyd Baron Rhododendron Garden at Rood Bridge Park, or adopting a raised bed at the Fairgrounds demonstration garden and putting their own special touch on its contents.
Members can rent space in the club-owned greenhouse located near the demonstration garden at the Washington County Fairgrounds.
Members are encouraged and expected to participate in club activities.
